Dr Bríd McGrath
Predominantly based in Cork, Dr Bríd studied medicine as a mature student. With over 10 years of training and work behind her, she has recently attained her Irish College of General Practitioners membership. Of the fields she has previously worked in, Dr Bríd particularly has enjoyed Cardiology, Care of the Older Patient, and Adolescent Mental Health. However, all fields of medicine interest her, and she has a strong emphasis on enabling patients to maintain lifelong health and well-being.
She has completed a Certificate in Contraception and is a registered cervical smear-taker.
Dr Bríd is married and has a very lively Border Collie dog who helps to keep their home safe from cats and hedgehogs. She is from a large family, with many nieces and nephews and enjoys spending time with both dogs and children. She is an avid reader of science writing and biographies.
